Recently, our Chairman Robert Roodnat and our Secretary Hendriani Trisaptayuni had the privilege of attending a two-day governance workshop hosted by the Federation of Multicultural Councils.
The event was packed with insightful sessions and inspiring guest speakers, including economist Dr. Ganesh Nana, representatives from the Ministry of Ethnic Communities, and Mr. Fraser Carson. Discussions covered a wide range of important topics, from the role people play in shaping the economy, to the risks and opportunities of foreign interference, and the profound impact social media has on our communities.
It was fantastic to see so many multicultural councils from across the South Island come together. The workshop wasn’t just about learning, it was about building connections and strengthening collaboration.
We’re excited to continue working alongside our friends and partners around the motu to create stronger, more inclusive communities.
