Nurturing Creativity and Connection: Mandala Pots Workshop as Part of Our Well-being Programme

This past Saturday, we gathered for a truly special session as part of the Waitaki Multicultural Well-being Programme, a time to relax, connect, and nurture our creativity together.

Our Mandala Pots Art Workshop, led by the talented Natalia Lopez (Art by Natalia) at the welcoming Pottery Patch, was nothing short of amazing! Participants explored the calming art of mandala design, creating beautiful, unique pots that reflected their individuality and creativity.

The workshop wasn’t just about art, it was about well-being. Taking time to slow down, share stories, and create something with our hands is a powerful way to reduce stress and strengthen social connections. These moments remind us that well-being is not only physical but emotional and social too.

A big thank you to Natalia for sharing your skills and inspiration, to the Pottery Patch for hosting us, and to Maithily for introducing us to the delicious Nankhatai, a traditional Indian tea-time biscuit that added a sweet touch to our day.

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, meeting new friends, and leaving with beautiful mandala pots, each one a symbol of creativity and mindfulness.

Welcome to our new members! We’re so happy to have you join our community and look forward to many more well-being sessions together.
